How to Opt-in or Opt-out

Hays CISD provides Chromebooks to middle school students for instructional use. Parents can opt-in or opt-out of participating in the device program for their child during online enrollment.

Need to Change Your Form Response?

If you already completed Student Online Registration, the system will not allow you to change your response to opt-in or opt-out of receiving a device. Please contact your campus librarians or PIEMS clerk to opt-in to the Hays CISD Device Program.

Interested in Device Protection Insurance?

Hays CISD offers an optional protection plan for district-owned devices to cover accidental damage or theft. Plans range from $10.00 to $40.00, based on your child’s National School Lunch Program (NSLP) designation. Plans must be purchased within the first 60 days of enrollment. Click here to learn more.
